About the role

You will design and operate the backbone of our products: APIs, data models, integrations, and the AI endpoints behind our features. You care about reliability and security as much as speed, and you write code other engineers enjoy building on.

What you will do

Design and build APIs, services, and well-considered data models.
Implement authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
Build and operate AI and LLM endpoints with sensible guardrails.
Engineer for performance, reliability, observability, and security.
Write tests and own your services in production, including on-call basics.

What we are looking for

3+ years of backend development in production.
Strong Node.js or Python and excellent API design.
Solid experience with relational and document databases (Postgres, MongoDB).
Cloud experience and sound security and data-handling practices.
Comfort owning a service end to end.

Nice to have

Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, message queues, and serverless.
Experience integrating LLM APIs and handling rate limits and cost.

What success looks like

In 30 days: you have shipped an API or service to production.
In 90 days: you own a backend domain with good observability.
In 6 months: you are shaping backend architecture and standards.
